Artroscopia de rodilla con anestesia local
Main Article Content
Abstract
Knee arthroscopy is one of the safest surgical procedures, with complication rates ranging from 0.56 to 8.2%. The use of local anesthesia in knee arthroscopies is determined by intraoperative surgical requirements that control postoperative pain, facilitate early recovery and discharge. However, its use continues to be controversial and little unknown. There are authors with divergent opinions: some affirm that it is possible as a safe and effective method, while others affirm that it is not safe at all. The purpose of the present study was to assess postoperative pain in patients of knee arthroscopy with local anesthesia, the finding indicates that 70 subjects (93.30%) had no pain, 5 subjects (6.60%) had mild pain, they were evaluated with the visual analog scale of pain at two hours post intervention.
