Prótesis de disco cervical: resultados clínico-radiológicos con 2 años de seguimiento

Abstract
We evaluated the clinical and radiological results with a minimum follow-up of 2 years in patients operated on with a cervical disc prosthesis. This is the first study of cervical disc prosthesis in Uruguay with the only implant available in our country. A retrospective study was carried out where we evaluated patients operated on with cervical disc prosthesis from January 2019 to August 2020. The total number of patients included in the study is 18 and 20 prostheses placed. Pain map, NDI, age and pain characteristics were recorded. In the postoperative period, the following were recorded: NDI and Odoms criteria at 3 months and 2 years. All cases had a minimum of static and functional radiographs and preoperative M RI of the cervical spine and static and dynamic postoperative radiographs immediately, 6 months and 2 years. We had a C 5 palsy as a complication that improved spontaneously 40 days after surgery.
No elements of the adjacent segment suffering in the medium term, with very good results at the end of follow-up.
