Manejo quirúrgico de las lesiones del ligamento colateral de la articulación interfalángica proximal de la mano: una revisión sistemática
Main Article Content
Abstract
The evidence shows that complete lateral collateral ligament injuries are a good indication for surgery. The ideal would be to reinsert with anchor suture in acute cases. The adequate surgical indication in chronic cases is more difficult to establish, considering the limited number of publications. Based on the evidence, it is not possible to conclude which is the ideal technique. However, we consider that the reconstruction with tendon graft and anchor suture without bone tunnel is a good recommendation. In very selected cases, such as reinterventions or without articular defects, it can be reconstructed with bone ligament bone graft. Although, a decrease in the range of movement is expected. This does not detract from the surgical indication, because the final range of movement is functional with a stable joint and without pain. In fact, a conservative management is also expected a decreased mobility.
