Revista Ecuatoriana de Ortopedia y Traumatología (the Ecuadorian Journal of Orthopedics and Traumatology) is a journal that publishes scientific works in the area of Orthopedics and Traumatology in Ecuador. It is edited by the Ecuadorian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (la Sociedad Ecuatoriana de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología, SEOT)). It is directed to specialists and sub-specialists in the area of Orthopedics and Traumatology, to general physicians, and associated health technologies. The Journal is published every four months in digital and print form.

All published articles are in the “Open Access” category, under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International license.

The Ecuadorian Journal of Orthopedics and Traumatology accepts articles not previously published in other journals, prepared under international technical-scientific standards to be published in the following sections: Original articles, Updating Topics, Clinical Notes, Clinical Notes or personal surgical techniques.

Mission: Contribute, promote and disseminate technical-scientific knowledge in the area of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at national and international level, preserving above all bioethical, professional and humanistic values, seeking to follow the guidelines established by the International Committee of Magazine Editors Biomedical.
